Saudi authorities have clarified that there will be no further extensions with regard to the requirements of electrical plugs and sockets to meet new Saudi Standards SASO 2203 and SASO 2204.
Implementation of these standards is now mandatory and plugs on electronic equipment needing mains electrical supply and powercords, electrical plugs and sockets now need to comply with these standards.

- SASO 2203:2003
- SASO 433:2003
- SASO 2204:2003
The new powercords are available as both 2 and 3 pin versions and are approved with PVC and rubber cable.
